01Scope
These terms cover the Devbroom desktop app, the devbroom command line tool and MCP server that come with it (together “Devbroom”), and this website. Devbroom is made and licensed by Mert Topuz (“we”).
By downloading, installing or using Devbroom you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use Devbroom.
02Your right to use it
We give you the right to use Devbroom on your own Macs, for personal or commercial work. This right is non-transferable and non-exclusive. Devbroom remains ours.
Devbroom's core features (scanning, verdicts and their reasons, preview, cleaning, putting back, the command line and MCP) are free. Pro features (Automatic upkeep, Analytics and session tools) are on for you to try for the first 14 days; after that they need a Pro license.
You may not copy Devbroom to sell or distribute it to others, try to get around the license check, or share your license key with others. Reverse engineering is allowed to the extent applicable law expressly permits it.
03The Pro license
A Pro license is bought with a one-time payment and never expires: the versions you bought keep working as Pro. A license can be activated on up to 2 Macs; when you change Macs you can remove the old one and activate the new one.
A license covers every version released within one year of the day you buy it. If you want to use versions released after that, you can extend your license for another year for $15. Extending is optional; if you don't, the versions you have stay Pro.
A license is personal: it belongs to one person and is used on that person's Macs. For teams and companies, write to support@devbroom.com.
A license is activated once over the internet and checked now and then while the app is online. We may disable licenses that were refunded, charged back, or that we find shared against these terms. Details on the Privacy page.
04Buying and payment
Polar handles sales as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues the invoice and calculates and pays the taxes for your country. Polar's own terms also apply when you buy.
Prices are shown in US dollars on the Pricing page; tax may be added depending on your country. We may change prices in the future; that doesn't affect licenses already bought.
The refund terms are on the Refund policy page.
05Your responsibility
Before Devbroom cleans anything it shows you what can be cleaned and why; confirming the cleanup is up to you. Items you confirm are moved to the Trash by default and can be put back from there. If you choose to delete permanently or to empty the Trash, those items can't be brought back.
You turn on and set Automatic upkeep rules yourself; while a rule is on, Devbroom may clean the items that match it without asking each time. devbroom clean --yes and similar commands also mean you gave your OK in advance.
Backing up your important data is your responsibility. Devbroom is not a backup tool.
06No warranty
To the extent applicable law allows, Devbroom is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't guarantee that Devbroom will work without errors or interruption, reach the right verdict in every case, or fit a particular purpose.
This doesn't limit the legal rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived by contract.
07Limit of liability
To the extent applicable law allows, we aren't liable for data loss, lost profits or indirect damages arising from the use of Devbroom. In any case our total liability is limited to what you paid us for Devbroom in the last twelve months.
This limit doesn't cover liability that can't be limited by law, such as damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
08Ending use
You can stop using Devbroom at any time by removing it. If you seriously breach these terms (for example by distributing license keys) we may end your license.
09If these terms change
We may update these terms. We announce a change by updating the date on this page and on the Changelog page. A change never narrows what a license you already bought covers.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer rights and competent courts of the country you live in are not affected.
11Language
These terms are written in English, and the English version is the binding one. Translations into other languages are provided for convenience; if they differ, the English version prevails.
